Dear Neighbors & Trail Users,

Allegedly there was a test of the County's new (prototype) Mass
Notification System (a.k.a. "Reverse 911" call system) in the last
two weeks or so. Residential phones in our area (the Meadows, La Vina
& Chaney Trail) were called by an automated system with a recorded
message about this new capability. A website was provided for further
information. In the future, we will be able to receive urgent
notifications from the County (for example, to prepare for wildfire
evacuation or to take other emergency action) via our home phones. We
will be able to add our work numbers and cell phones to the system.

As a data point, did any of you receive the test call? If so, do you
have the website about the new MNS system? Were you told by anyone in
advance that you would be receiving a test call?

Thanks,
Lori
in the Chaney Trail Neighborhood
