[ACT] [Trees] Pasadena tree ordinance meeting

Tom, Steve, and everyone,
The Council and the public at the last Pasadena City Council meeting  
discussed protection of the trees in city parks and open space as well as  protection 
of the street trees.  I expect this subject will come up again  at the 
meeting scheduled for a couple of weeks.  Given the fact that  Hahamongna Watershed 
Park is a terminus of the Altadena Crest Trail and the fact  that there are a 
number of large earthmoving and  road widening projects  proposed for 
Hahamongna, it would behoove those of us who care about the trails  and the oaks in 
the park to get involved in the Pasadena tree ordinance  discussion.

Because it is of general  interest, it impacts the management of trees 
throughout Pasadena, and it  may impact the management of trees at and 
around the Altadena Crest Trail,  which as you know interfaces with 
trails falling within  Pasadena.

As is always the case, one can choose to *not* participate in  a 
discussion, and if participating can choose how to approach it. Here are
