Thanks Ralph! I called the hotline and got through quickly. The woman who answered seemed familiar with the area and indicated it should be cleaned up by Friday and gave me a "confirmation number" for the call.

Subject: Graffiti on Cobb Estate: Phone Number to Call
David,
Some folk also knocked over the "Stop Graffiti" sign at the Corner of
Loma Alta and Canon Blvd three days ago (two blocks West on Loma Alta from
the Cobb Estate). They then marked the wall of the Loma Alta Elementary
School on the East side of Canon Blvd.
I phoned the "Stop Graffiti" Department of L.A. County (1-800-675-4357).
They were pleased to hear from me and said they would remove the graffiti.
They transferred my phone call to another L.A. County Department who said
they would fix the sign.
The experience of other cities is that if you can remove the graffiti as
soon as it appears, it decreases the likelihood of more graffiti.
We shall see what the response time is (days, weeks, months).

Subject: [ACT] Graffiti on Cobb Estate
It seems to me that the graffiti has gotten worse recently on the Cobb
Estate leading to the Sam Merrill Trail (see attached picture). I know
there's been a low level of activity, but in the past it seemed to be
cleaned/covered up reasonably quickly. As you can see, the interpretive
signs are completely obliterated, there's graffiti on trees and also on the
curb of the old drive in that area.
Can anyone shed light on who has responsibility for this and who to contact
to follow up?
Thanks,
DGW
