Neighbors and Friends--
	As we do every year since contributions from many of you enabled  
protecting the 1.5 acre triangle of land above Nuccio's Nursery on  
Chaney Trail, AFC is organizing brush clearance and litter cleanup.   
We would value your help, which keeps stewardship costs low,  
neighborhood and trail user involvement high, and fire danger minimized.
	More information will come out in a few days, but I wanted ask all  
of you able-bodied people to save the date if you can help out  
Saturday morning May 2.  If you can only come for an hour, that's  
still helpful; "many hands make for light work," as Judy's mom used  
to say.   We will trim and haul the brush, encourage the oak saplings  
and plant a few more.  Well-behaved children are welcome if  
accompanied by a parent or guardian.
	With any luck, the weather will be cooler than today.  Donuts and  
fresh drinks will be provided to all volunteers.
	...and you'll be able to hear more about Altadena Foothills  
Conservancy's expansion and transformation into the Arroyos and  
Foothills Conservancy.
